Create a free account as an individual or business. Pick a category, describe what needs doing, and enter the address where the work will happen. It can be your home, a rental, an office, or a different location entirely.
Photos help. Include a wide view, useful close-ups, and measurements or model numbers when they matter. Say when you need the work, and post your request.
The job's category and ZIP code determine which pros match. There is no charge to post a request or receive quotes.

Your Skills Travel.
Create a service professional account, add the services you offer, and choose a travel radius for each one. You might travel 40 miles for an HVAC repair and 15 miles for a smaller maintenance job.
We compare the job's ZIP location with yours using approximate straight-line distance. Eligible jobs appear in My Matches, including open work that fits when you add a service. New matches trigger an email immediately.
Open a job to see its description and photos. Submit a price, explain the scope, and add your availability. Hide a job when it isn't for you; you can restore it later.

Project Owners open My Projects to see their jobs. Expand a request to compare quotes, then open a quote to see its scope and private conversation. Pros find those same conversations under My Quotes.
Every thread belongs to one quote and its work request. Other pros don't see your messages or competing prices. Ask about materials, timing, access, and anything a quote doesn't explain.
Select a pro when you're ready. That marks the request awarded and shares its full work address with the selected pro. Payment and final arrangements happen directly between you and the pro.

Complete The Work.
Share Your Experience.
When the job is done, the project owner marks it completed and can leave a rating and written review of the selected pro. Those real reviews appear on the pro's profile. Pros do not review project owners.
AustinsList helps you connect; it does not employ pros, guarantee their credentials, process payments, or arbitrate the work. Discuss qualifications, insurance, permits, scope, and payment arrangements where relevant before hiring.
Both account types can update their information and change their password from the dashboard. Keep your email address current so notifications reach you.
